Sample rate

Sample rate is how many times per second audio is measured in a digital recording, such as 44.1 kHz.

Digital audio captures sound as a series of measurements. CD quality uses 44,100 samples per second (44.1 kHz); video production often uses 48 kHz. Higher rates such as 96 kHz are used in studios for processing headroom.

For most delivery, 44.1 or 48 kHz is fully sufficient. Match the sample rate your video project uses to avoid conversion.

Using it in a prompt

Sample rate is an export setting, not a prompt term. Check that your video editor’s project rate matches your music files.
